Cheryl, Cunningham, PE
Cheryl was the principal owner of an engineering firm in Indiana for over 25 years, and a practicing civil engineer for more than 35 years. She was often the only female in the room, and very early in her career, developed a passion to encourage more girls to think about engineering as a viable career. In an effort to increase the number of female engineers, Cheryl founded I Can Be An Engineer, Inc. With a focus on young children, Cheryl’s goal is to impact the way 5-8 year old children think about engineering, and to affect their belief that girls can be engineers too! Cheryl has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and is a Professional Engineer in several states.
